House Team
privacy policy
last updated september 20, 2026. plain words, because that's the whole point of this thing.
What we collect
Your phone number, your name, and how you'd like to hear from the house (text, email, or push notification). We also keep the messages and plans you send the house — a task you took, a day you're out, a schedule you forwarded — because that's what the app is for.
The texting program
If you text START to a House Team number, you're opting in to get texts from that household: a morning plan, hand-offs, reminders, and a weekly review. Message frequency varies, usually up to a few a day. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP anytime to opt out — you'll get one confirmation and nothing after that. Reply HELP for help.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or your text-message consent with anyone for marketing. Your consent to receive texts is yours alone and is never passed to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
No advertising, no promotional messages, no tracking you around the internet.
Who can see what
A household's information is visible to the head of that household — the person who set it up. Helpers and family members only receive the messages meant for them. Nobody outside your household sees your household's business.
Keeping and deleting
Your information stays while your household uses House Team. If you want your number removed, reply STOP to any message, or ask the head of your household to remove you — it's immediate.
Kids
House Team is for adults running a household. Children may be mentioned in plans and schedules, but no child has an account or receives messages from us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top moves. Big changes get mentioned before they happen.
